HealthNet TPO is a Netherlands based not for profit, non-governmental organization founded on the principle that access to affordable quality health care is a basic human right.
In 1992 HealthNet TPO was established by ‘Doctors without Borders’ to bridge the gap between emergency aid and structural development. The organization is now the result of a merger between HealthNet International (HNI) and the Transcultural Psychosocial Organization (TPO). HNI has knowledge and experience in reinforcing healthcare systems and prevention, diagnosis and treatment of transmissible diseases. TPO is an expert in the field of psychosocial and mental health care for survivors of war and natural disasters. HealthNet TPO Afghanistan is managed by a team of qualified Afghans and supported by a team of experts at the HQ of the organization in Holland.
HealthNet TPO Afghanistan is providing Primary Health Care, Mental Health and psychosocial services, fighting malaria and supporting Mother & Child Health Care in terms of providing training for Community Midwifes and to conduct operation research. HealthNet TPO is currently implementing projects in almost 20 provinces of Afghanistan and the major program it implements are HER (Health Emergency Response) projects in three provinces, Nutrition, Mental Health and Psychosocial, Malaria Control program, Tuberculus……. through a community system strengthening approach.
HealthNet TPO has a zero tolerance toward sexual exploitation and abuse and child abuse. HNITPO takes seriously all concerns and complaints about sexual exploitation and abuse and child abuse involving HNITPO employees and Related Personnel.
Job Description:
-
- Undertake patient consultations and physical examinations and assess and plan treatment requirements (OPD)
- Provide curative care to men, women and children.
- Observing IPC in the HF
- Accurate, proper and on time records and filling of all HMIS forms as required
- Follow all nationals’ Medical protocols and other for case definition and management.
- Promoting health education and RCCE
- Prescribe medicines rationally and submit pharmacy monthly consumption reports to provincial office.
- Submit monthly HMIS reports to provincial office, and provide adhoc base data/information when needed.
- Attend all meetings, seminars and training assigned by HealthNet TPO
- Coordination with stakeholders for referral
- Proper attitude against the clients
- Preparation of relevant activities plan and activities report.
- Identify and report immediately any problem which interferes in the delivery of services or in achieving the program objectives to his/her immediate supervisor.
- Share knowledge, skill and expertise with the other staff of HF.
- Daily supervision of the HF staff
- Guiding and mentoring the HF staff
- Meeting with community elders and health shura members
- Responsible for proper data collection and monthly report
- Data analysis and feedback provision to the HF staff
- Collection and sharing of the activities photos and success stories
- Any other relevant task given by his/her line supervisor
Job Requirements:
- Having MD diploma from recognized medical faculty.
- At least 3-year full time experience of working as MD in clinic (AHF or B/EPHS)
- To be fluent in writing and speaking Pashto, Dari and working knowledge in English languages.
- Ability to work long hours, often under pressure
- Good practical skills
- Good communication skills
