LIA Logistics is looking to hire the following persons at their office in Torkham border, Afghanistan. Qualified candidates are requested to send their CVs to the given email address.
Job Description:
- Assist in Managing overall activities of Torkham and Jalalabad operations including coordination with Pakistan office, processing T1 and T2 (Barchalani) operation activity, supervising the cross shifting, handling and loading of sensitive shipments and Customs Clearance and Trucking Operations with Lia vendors.
- Assist in Coordinating with Kabul Office, Karachi office, Hairatan Office, Dubai office and providing regular updates on operational activities.
- Assist in Coordinating with Pakistani and Afghan Truckers at Torkham and negotiating rates and closely monitoring all trucking operations.
- Closely coordinating with Customs authorities at Torkham and Jalalabad and ensuring to complete the customs procedures professionally and swiftly.
- Engaging Labor and equipment and supervising the cross-loading of cargo at Turkham/Jalalabad.
- Maintaining a filing system at Torkham & Jalalabad offices for all shipments.
- Doing any other tasks which are assigned by the management and line manager .
- We will provide decent accommodation at Torkham office for the selected candidate.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in economics (BBA Preferable)
- Multi-language skills Pashto, Dari, (Good communication written and speaking in English ais Required) and Understanding Urdu Language is an Advantage.
- Good Knowledge of the Job Barchalani and computer skills (particularly good in Microsoft Office, i.e., Outlook, Excel, Word) is Required.
- At least 2-3 years of work experience in similar fields is Required.
- Good negociation skill with drivers and brokers .
